Coxofemoral Luxation

A common method for the management of coxofemoral luxations is with toggle pins. This technique has been a standard of care for many years. Our engineers were the first to introduce solid toggle rods to be used with both monofilament suture and UHMWPE orthopedic suture, in conjunction with NC State. When the toggle rods were introduced we also provided the essential instrumentation for drilling the tunnels, placing the toggle rod and retrieving the suture. Today we continue to improve on our original designs and offer new toggle rods that are unique in a few ways but most importantly the material and material finish. The Everost toggle rods are made from high grade, implant titanium with colored ends. The colored ends allow the surgeon to clearly visualize whether the toggle has flipped behind the acetabulum or not. Continued improvement is what we strive for.
